Tourism
is the act of traveling or moving from one place to another or from one
country to another. May be to get some knowledge about the different places to
enjoy the natural beauty or to get some rest. Whatever the purpose may be it is
interesting to tour.
Tourism
is one of the easiest ways of earning foreign exchange to our little island. This
helps to solve the unemployment problem of the island into a certain extant
specially restaurants, tourist hotels, and tour guides who are capable to providing
more facilities for tourists. Also Tourism promotes our local crafts such as
earthen wares paintings and other curious ornaments the which are highly
attracted by foreigners.
While uplifting local products it announces the whole
world its natural beauty splendor and the cultural values. Though, Sri Lanka is
a tiny speck in the world map it has wealth of resources to attract tourists
endlessly. So where advantages concern Tourism is a Blessing for our little
island as it is a third world country.
Too
much of beauty too much of sometimes leads a young women to the path of
destruction. With the streaming of foreign exchange a number of strange germs
too have invaded this beautiful island. Most of our sacred and serene places,
lakes and ponds, flora and fauna, cascading waterfalls and sandy yellow beaches
are all being contaminated by these germs.
Lush green jungles and innocent
beasts and birds are being trembled with fear of death. Beside drug addiction,
child abuse and prostitution are becoming incurable epidemics. Fatal disease
AIDS is the most crucial social problem, bestowed by tourism.
The
list of “do” s and don’t s is numerous for the conversation of the surrounding.
If each and every citizen is conscious
about ecology, if we do our bit towards achieving a pollution free
environment we can rejoice once again in the glory of the golden sunlight
falling on ripped mountain crests otherwise we will be destroyed by a monster
of our own creation!
